Chamber Business Luncheon May 21st

Richard Jenkins Sr., Combat Viet Nam Veteran, Department Commander of the Military Order of Purple Heart, retired Chemical Dependency Counselor and 33 year volunteer prison chaplain will speak at the May 21st Chamber Luncheon on “Viet Nam-The displaced soldier warrior and some of his heartaches”.  The luncheon will start at 11:30 a.m. at The Point Restaurant, 12378 Point Douglas Road, Hastings; come early for the 11:15 a.m. business card exchange.  Cost is $15.00 for chamber members; $18.00 for non-members.  Reservations can be mailed, phoned, faxed or emailed to the chamber office Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Annual Golf Classic, Tuesday June 10, 2008 River Oaks Golf Course

The Chamber is celebrating the Strawberry Festival by kicking-off the festivities with our Annual Golf Classic – Tuesday June 10, 2008 at the River Oaks Golf Course; NOON shotgun start.  The Chamber Golf Classic funds the Chamber Scholarship Program which this year will award three scholarships to area high school graduates.  This year’s tournament will introduce New Gold & Silver Golfing options.

Gold Flight – are your feeling competitive?  Then register at the Gold Level, play from the back tees, NO mulligan’s or string allowed.  There will be a team skins game available in this flight.

Silver Flight – out for a relaxing round of golf?  Silver will be the traditional “fun” flight and will play from the white tees, mulligan’s and string apply.

Tournament winners will be separately awarded at the Golf & Silver levels.  Watch for Registration flyers; Foursome $400; Individual Golfers $100.  Chamber and non-chamber members welcome.  There will be a putting contest, games, prizes and dinner.  Come out and enjoy a fun day while supporting the Chamber Scholarship Fund.
