Most women make business decisions based primarily on the relationships they have built. We tend to seek out someone we know or a referral from someone we trust for services we need, purchases to be made, collaboration, and mentoring.

We must learn to grow and we must grow to achieve our fullest potential. At WIB events you will learn from and be inspired by our guest speakers. They come to us as experts in their field to share their knowledge.

“The beauty of empowering others is that your own power is not diminished in the process.”
~ Barbara Colorose

Networking is the best way for prospective clients and referrals to get a sense of who we are and why they would want to do business with us. Whether you are a business owner, a leader or manager within your company or have thoughts of starting a new business, networking will provide you with the connections, ideas and inspiration needed to keep you excited and to take you to your next level!

Connecting Without Borders is the heart of WIB! “I’m always looking for ways to improve my professional career, as well as my personal life, so when the Women’s Business Development Group (now Women in Business) was formed, I became a member right away.

In fact, before the Women in Business in Cottage Grove became an organization, I attended a women’s group meeting in Stillwater and I saw and I felt the connection immediately!

The Women in Business organization has enhanced my confidence to excel in my career, my personal life, my volunteering, and in my relationships with other business women. My business connections has also increased due to the active networking and referrals from this amazing group of women.

As the saying goes, “People buy from people they know and trust.” What better way to get to know other women in the community and help support each other’s businesses.”
~ Mary Slusser

“As a member of WIB since its inception, I have enjoyed seeing the growth and development of the organization and its members through the years. WIB has great social/networking events throughout the year, and each month WIB has dynamic speakers on a variety of issues relating to both personal and professional development and growth. WIB is a women’s organization that you can count on to make you feel welcome, and the members strive to bring other members business. I have made great personal and professional relationships through WIB, and highly recommend the group to local women business owners.”
~ Evon M. Spangler, Spangler and de Stefano, PLLP

“I just love WIB! I feel that this powerful group of women in business has given me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and pursue higher standards in my own business. I have personally benefitted from the mentoring and the business training I have received as part of this dynamic group of women. We have a unique camaraderie that comes from networking with professional women of all backgrounds, professions and personality styles.”
~ Becky Fox, Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay

WIB is a great place to network with other like-minded business women.  The speaker series is “top notch!”  You will walk away with learnings and best practices to improve yourself and your business.  It’s an amazing group of women and I’m proud to be connected with!
